An academic, year-long program for Masters and Doctoral students studying climate adaptation and/or mitigation on working lands or waters in the Northeast.
This unique program offers participating GradCAMP scholars networking opportunities across institutions, stakeholders, and other climate practitioners. It provides a means to spark exploration in a collaborative setting and to work with USDA Northeast Climate Hub leadership and coordinating staff at West Virginia State University.
Through monthly virtual meetings, scholars will explore climate issues in relation to their research projects. Meetings in the 2025 spring semester will be scholar-based, where the scholars will share and discuss their ongoing research. The 2025 fall semester will allow GradCAMP scholars to present their research and findings to local or regional stakeholder groups. Scholar presentations will be recorded, creating a webinar series. The program will include an in-person workshop in the summer of 2025, where GradCAMP scholars will develop factsheets discussing local or regional issues. Travel funding for the in-person workshop will be provided to all 2025 GradCAMP scholars.
