Andrew Bernard

As an ORISE Fellow, Andrew’s work focuses on the evaluation and coordination of the Northeast Hub’s climate projects. 

With a background in climate change, conservation biology, and biological anthropology, Andrew is an interdisciplinary scientist with applied interests in sustainability and natural resource management. He has over 10 years of experience integrating ecological and anthropological research with science communication, outreach, and community engagement. Most recently, his research has used statistical modeling to quantify the effects of changing climate on forests and species that inhabit them. Andrew graduated from the University of Michigan with an M.A. and Ph.D. in Anthropology, and from Bates College with a B.A. in Biology.
