As an ORISE Fellow, Alyssa works to develop actionable tools for forest managers to adapt to climate change.
Developing a deep understanding of natural resource professionals’ needs, values, and barriers to action is a key component of her work. Prior to joining the Northeast Climate Hub, Alyssa completed her PhD in Ecology and Environmental Sciences at the University of Maine. Her graduate work focused on understanding human dimensions of climate change and conservation in Maine. She also has a M.S. in Forest Resources from the University of Maine, and a B.S. in Geoscience from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell.
