The USDA Northeast Climate Hub hosted a Partners Meeting on March 14th-15th, 2018.
It was attended by 150 land grant extension specialists and researchers, farmers, and government employees. Building upon the foundational understanding of our regional climate trends and impacts, participants discussed climate adaptation solutions by sharing experiences to support agriculture in the region. We discovered practices in terms of evidence, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness. Our Northeast community exchanged information that will drive continued support, collaboration and advancement of climate adaptation in agriculture and forestry. The meeting highlighted outreach strategies for adaptation information and the importance of developing a community of practice.
Thank you to all who participated, attended and helped make this meeting a success! Proceedings from this workshop, including recorded talks, summary and synthesis of discussion are currently under development. In the meantime, presentation slides from many of the featured talks are available now »
