Grantees assist rural small businesses and agricultural producers by conducting and promoting energy audits, and providing renewable energy development assistance (REDA). Assistance provided must consist of: Energy audits, Renewable energy technical assistance, Renewable energy site assessments.

Federally-recognized tribes can directly apply.
Climate Change Component
Energy audit assistance and renewable energy assistance can lead to the reduction of fossil fuels that generate greenhouse gases, which contributes to climate change.
