Agency
Description
The Scientific Cooperation Research Program supports joint research, extension, and education projects — lasting up to two years — between U.S. researchers and researchers from selected emerging market economies. The projects address issues including agricultural trade and market access, animal and plant health, biotechnology, food safety and security, and sustainable natural resource management.
Eligibility
Academic institutions located in the United States, U.S. non-profit research organizations, private organizations, federal and state agencies, or a consortia led by an eligible organization.
Climate Change Component
The Scientific Cooperation Research Program can support tribal institutions in collaborating with international researchers, policymakers, and agricultural specialists in conducting mutually beneficial research. Adapting to or mitigating the effects climate change on both the United States and the collaborating country's agricultural economy are among the potential research topics.
