Emily Slaughter

Emily joined the USDA Southwest Climate Hub in August, 2024 as a Student Assistant working for New Mexico State University. She is currently working on a Bachelor’s Degree in General Agriculture from New Mexico State University. Emily graduated from Mayfield High School and attended New Mexico Highlands University for her freshman year. She grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico and enjoyed being a part of 4-H and FFA, and those experiences led her to want to learn more about agriculture, natural resources, and climate.
