Angus “Skye” Aney is Coordinator for the USDA Southwest Climate Hub, where he mainly focuses on outreach to support ranchers and other agricultural producers in the region. Skye has worked with the USDA Southwest Climate Hub since 2017 on a number of climate change resiliency and adaptation related projects, most recently as extension team lead for a five-year NIFA-funded Coordinated Agriculture Project focusing on sustainable beef production. Prior to coming to the Climate Hub, he worked as a soil scientist mapping soils for irrigation suitability, and as a GIS specialist. Skye holds a BS in Soil Science and a MS in Geography from New Mexico State University. He is also producer of the Come Rain or Shine Podcast, a collaboration between the Southwest Climate Hub and the Southwest Climate Adaptation Science Center. When not at work, Skye enjoys hiking, cooking, and reading.
