Michelle Thompson

Michelle Thompson is a Climate Science Communication Specialist with Clemson University, working in collaboration with the USDA Southeast Climate Hub. Michelle holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental and Natural Resource Management from Clemson University and a MEM in Ecosystem Science and Conservation from Duke University. She was previously a research fellow with the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE), hosted with the U.S. Forest Service Southern Research Station. Michelle is interested in geospatial analysis, natural resource management, and socio-ecological systems. Her work with the Hub focuses on creating tools and material that communicate proactive forestry practices for Extension Agents and forest managers.
