Emma Gates

Emma Gates is a Contract Research Assistant with the USDA Southeast Climate Hub. Emma holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Water and Climate and minors in Geology and Studio Art from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her time in school, she studied carbon accounting, best management practices, risk assessment, stormwater management, GIS, urban planning, art, and design. Her primary responsibility with the Hub is helping support the National Forest System in the Southeast US by co-producing content that assists with forest planning and management.
