Karley Dieckmann

Karley Dieckmann is a Graduate Student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, pursuing her master's degree in Natural Resources Development. As a Fellow with the Northern Plains Climate Hub, her work is funded through a grant from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture (#2023-68014-39530, which focuses on pyric herbivory).

Karley is studying rangeland management practices to support sustainable use of grasslands in an increasingly variable climate. Her career goals are focused on education and outreach to the general public, with an emphasis on youth. She is currently working on an educational tool for Natural Resource and Agricultural teachers of Nebraska to further connect students to the land around them. Karley previously earned her bachelor's degree in Wildlife Ecology with a minor in Psychology from Peru State College. One day Karley hopes to inspire the next generation of conservationists!
