Kristine Micheletti is an ORISE Fellow with the Midwest Climate Hub in Ames, Iowa. In this role she serves on the social science team, conducting evaluations and assessments of climate services and other projects affiliated with the hub. Kristine is a PhD Candidate at Iowa State University, studying agricultural education and sustainable agriculture. Her research focuses on extension with youth in underserved and urban communities in the Midwest. She received her M.A. from Iowa State University in anthropology after researching human-chimpanzee interactions in Senegal, and has a B.S. in both zoology and psychology from Drake University. Prior to working with the Midwest Climate Hub, Kristine worked as a naturalist and conservation program manager for several conservation agencies in Iowa. In her free time, Kristine enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, camping, and kayaking. When not outside she enjoys reading, painting, and doing puzzles.
