Second Series of Technical Talks from the Caribbean Climate Hub!

The second series of the Caribbean Climate Hub Tech Talks will discuss new tools available to farmers and landowners. The Hub will have the participation of other agencies such as the National Weather Service in San Juan (NWS SJ) and the Puerto Rico Landslide Hazard Mitigation Office, University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez.

The tools provide practical strategies to the agricultural and forestry sectors to adapt to climate change and extreme events (droughts, floods, or hurricanes). We work collaboratively with other agencies to develop and promote tools relevant to our region. In this way, we help disseminate resources to farmers and landowners.

We encourage participants to use cell phones, tablets, or computers to actively participate in the Tech Talk workshop exercises. Each Tech Talk will last approximately 45 minutes, 11:00am – 11:45am AST. Services provided: oral translation from Spanish to English and American Sign Language (ASL).
