Amelia Oxarart

Amelia Oxarart joined the California Climate Hub in August 2023 as a Science Communication Specialist after completing degrees in Plant Science and English at the University of California, Davis. Amelia's educational background allows her to come to her position with a strong foundation in both science and writing that is instrumental in her role as a science communicator. As part of her role with the California Climate Hub, Amelia champions the development of the Hub's monthly newsletter and website, and works closely with fellows and Hub staff to synthesize Hub products into easily-accessible fact sheets, two-pagers, and story maps to ensure that Hub information can reach a broad audience. Amelia also supports numerous Hub activities including research, partner engagements, workshop facilitation, and tool and resource development. Amelia brings a true passion for connecting diverse audiences with relevant climate information to the California team.
